Generator team up with Boiler Room
Underground music network Boiler Room is to embark on a series of live events with hostel chain Generator, kicking off the eight-month series in Berlin on 30 July.
The music partnership promises to bring together a selection of underground artists to play live from a range of unexpected spaces. Confirmed artists include Soundstream, Max Graef and Session Victim.
Boiler Room will programme, curate and produce parties, listening events and live sessions into 2016, with Generator’s rooftops, lobbies and penthouses among the spaces that will host the events.
Music fans across Europe will be able to register for access to the events, which will also be live-streamed online and available to watch on demand afterwards.
Mazdak Sanii, Boiler Room’s chief commercial officer, said: “It’s great to announce our partnership with Generator, which we have been planning for some time. We’re excited to work with their great locations and take Boiler Room to cities we haven’t been to before, showcasing to our global audience the depth of exciting things happening in local music scenes around Europe.”
Fredrik Korallus, chief executive of Generator, added: “Music, art and culture are at core of Generator and we make a conscious effort to work with young, local talent in all our cities, both for events and content creation.
“With this exciting collaboration we step up our game, partnering with a renowned music institution like Boiler Room to continue using our hospitality spaces in the most innovative ways.”
Last month saw Marriott and Universal Music Group embark on a similar partnership, where they will host a series of #WithTheBand music experiences across the hotel group’s properties.
