Hans Brinker celebrates the opening of its new restaurant, Ms. Chelin

The culinary landscape of Amsterdam gained a new beacon of comfort food as Ms. Chelin, located in the Hans Brinker Hostel Amsterdam, celebrated its official opening with an exuberant party on 25 January 2024. The event welcomed guests to an evening of revelry, spotlighting the restaurant’s philosophy that great flavour needs no embellishment.

“We’ll be honest: we’re not a star restaurant. And we almost certainly never will be.”

The space was for years a bar and hang-out for guests of the Hans Brinker Hostel on Kerkstraat, but has now been transformed into a restaurant. After a major refurbishment, the interior is wooden, the kitchen brand new and the designs on the walls are by Studio Loop.
